Kalaburagi, India's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah spoke about the importance of tourism for the region's development at the Kalyana Karnataka Utsav. He highlighted the historical and religious attractions in the area that can attract visitors and boost the economy. He also shared his plans to develop various sites, such as the Malkhed fort, Sri Dattatreya sacred place, Buddhist religious place of Sannati, Gurudwara in Kalaburagi, and the museum in Kalaburagi.

The chief minister Siddaramaiah highlighted the tourism potential of the Kalyana Karnataka region as a key factor for its overall development, while commemorating the Liberation Day of Hyderabad-Karnataka region and the 10th anniversary of Article 371(J) during the Kalyana Karnataka Utsav.

He said that the region has many historical and religious attractions that can boost the local economy and create opportunities for the people. He mentioned some of the places that will be developed, such as the Malkhed fort, the Sri Dattatreya sacred place of Gangapura, the Buddhist religious place of Sannati and the Gurudwara in Kalaburagi. He also announced the development of the museum in Kalaburagi.

He expressed his commitment to the welfare and progress of the Kalyana Karnataka region, which was liberated from the Nizam's rule on September 17, 1948.

The government has announced a plan to allocate Rs 2 crore for the conservation of black bucks in Bidar district, where a blackbuck sanctuary is located. The chief minister also revealed that a 3D projection, multimedia and sound and light show will be set up at Vijaya Vittala temple, one of the UNESCO-protected monuments in Hampi, with a budget of Rs 3.5 crore. Additionally, the government will establish a Janapada Loka in Koppal to promote folk culture.

The chief minister also spoke about the development of rural libraries in the KK region under the Arivu Kendras scheme, which aims to improve the quality of education and learning in rural areas. He said that 939 libraries have been upgraded in all seven districts of the region. He also highlighted the efforts to make Kalaburagi a major healthcare hub of the region, with the inauguration of Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology and a trauma care centre.
